Our First Spring Camping in Washington State

We returned to Bay View State Park March 23 - 25 and were easily able to find one of our favourite sites (#2). We have found the location is ideal for exploring Whidbey Island, La Conner, Mount Vernon, Anacortes with lots of opportunity for shopping, sightseeing and photography. We also checked out Deception Pass State Park (only lower Cranberry Lake loop open for camping), Fort Ebey State Park (fully open), South Whidbey (only partly open), Fort Casey (almost full!). Daffodils are out everywhere, but tulips have still a long ways to go. See more photos here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/brian_v...176393/detail/

Re: Our First Spring Camping in Washington State

Great pictures...We really like Whidbey Island..

Have stayed at Deception Pass multiple times and Fort Ebey once...

Our first trip this year is the night of May 4 after I get off work at 23:15---then down to Cannon Beach and Brookings for just over a week...
