Our trip home

We had a great trip home to Iowa with our new 5.0ta. We picked her up on Sept. 25th, then spent 12 days bringing her home through North Cascade N.P., Glacier N.P., Yellowstone, Custer State Park in S.D., and several other state parks and national monuments. The weather wasn't very cooperative, but we didn't expect much else this time of the year.

The trailer worked great. We were so pleased with all the thought that went into making it a very comfortable space. Our only concern was the refrigerator, that worked quite well in the colder climates, but went up to 48 on our last day when the outside temp was 75.

We celebrated last night with an open "house" for our friends who wanted to see what we'd been talking about for the last 9 months!

Fridge temp under tow!!!

Hi: Bill and Mary... I found that towing with the bathroom exhaust vent open helped a bit with the rising fridge temp. I also added some extra peel n stick foam around the lower vent door... as well as plugging the lower right corner of the fridge door. Alf

Glad you made it home safely. Lindy and I are still on the road. Sorry we didn't get more time to chat in Chilliwack. I assumed we would see you in the AM, but you must have had the orientation after us.

I still have hopes for a mid-continent Escape gathering next year, and maybe we can see you there.
