We still under pay for gas than the rest of the world. Oregon you can't pump your own, and I'm sure it's taxed more.

For I hope the last time, we don't WANT to pump our own and our taxes are less than Washington and California where the driver does all the work and get stinky hands.

Well, of course, Karen. We have to pay Sacramento for the train to nowhere, and the 1 billion that will solve the water problem. I paid well over $3 this morning, and I drive by oil wells on the way to work. Go figure!

Robert, I like your red graphics with your white tow vehicle. They match the maple leaf. Looks sharp.

I thought someone said that the awning windows are no longer available. Guess they are. Oh, that must be the emergency window. Guess those are still available.
Nice sunset photo.

We can't come to the rally itsellf (conflicts with the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival), but I'm hoping to make a day trip on either Monday or Tuesday (probably Tuesday). Rob & Robbie have said I can see their 21, and of course, hopefully Tammy & Reace will be there by then.

Robert, I guess you couldn't skip filling the tank in Oregon with the trailer, like you did on the way up. Checking the Gas Buddy map again, it looks like the price difference between Oregon and Texas is what you are expecting. 18 cents per gallon of tax, and a bunch more due to other factors.

Some people in Oregon clearly don't want to pump their own gas; a similar number of people do want that option (see survey results). Either way, for now everyone is paying for it.

Yeah, my best laid plans for skipping gas until we got into Idaho didn't take into account the reduced mileage when towing, nor the scenic detours we keep taking....lol

The best place for gas we've found in Oregon seems to be Safeway stores. Their gas pumps are easy in and out for a trailer, and they seem to run between 5 and 10 cents cheaper than the other stations in the area. Gas Buddy pretty much agrees.

We're camped where there are no showers so we used the trailer shower for the first time last night. After we got a water heater issue sorted out (thanks Glenn for the link that got me in the general area) we tried it. Worked great. With the rinse-shut off-soap up- rinse method we were both able to shower right after the other and the hot water was barely starting to cool down at the end. I guess if you're conservative, 6 gallons goes farther than you think. Also, the Oxygenics RV Spa Showerhead works very well.

Thanks for the update on the Oxygenics. Haven't tried ours yet but it's nice to know it works so well. We're enjoying your posts!

Yea, that shiny grill looks pretty good siting on that spanking new table next to the sparkling new f150 and Escape! The glare of the sun off of all that new hardware is hurting my eyes. Where are my shades?
