Robert, the spot at Bay View looked familiar...which one was it?

Bay View was our first stop after we got our trailer. And, yes, backing in to the spot was an adventure! Thankfully, there was a big grassy area "to get ahead of the trailer" and then the nice guy who drives semi-trailers for a living gave us some pointers that were very helpful. We are still learning the backing up part with the trailer and hope this season of camping sees great improvement!

Congratulations! I really really like the colors. I just talked my wife into customizing our fabric because of you. Thanks. Looking forward to seeing you in a couple weeks here in Bandera.

'Past Tents' First Journey

Good afternoon and greetings to all! We've been in two places that had absolutely NO cell signal or wifi and we are now at Ainsworth State Park on the Columbia River Gorge. Just hooked up the Sleek Cradle to the external antenna and its Internet City!

Anyway, I'm very grateful for all the well wishes. Things have been going great although Oregon gave us the wettest welcome we've ever had. An absolute torrential downpour with marble sized hail yesterday morning just east of Salem on our way to Silver Falls. Mud, wet and more wet! We were at Pacific City RV Park on the coast night before last and it rained almost the entire time. Silver Falls last night and almost the same. Rain tapered off in the middle of the night. Today has been great so far with partly cloudy skies and even a bit of sun. Past Tents tows like a dream in all the winding twisty narrow little mountain roads and small towns we've hit so far. The Oregon countryside is remarkably beautiful.

Gas mileage is staying about the same as previously posted, only increasing about 2 tenths of a mpg.

We are having the time of our lives and the trailer is definitely getting a lot of attention. I'll reply to some of the questions and post some photos sometime this evening. Cheers!
