Howdy Myron. I started a thread on the beeping fridge issue separate from this one. Basically the fridge is telling us the door is open when it's not. Forced us to get some ice and load the cooler overnight so we could shut off the fridge in order to sleep.

Fridge beep solved for now by unplugging the fridge light. Reace came through again!
We're off to see Cascade Locks, the Bonneville Dam and the surrounding area today. Cheers all!

Yes, unplugging the light is just a matter of removing the cover and pulling the plug. The not so obvious part was figuring out that the light switch was causing the alarm.

If you want a preview of some of the area waterfalls, check the pages from my stay at Ainsworth last year.

I am always amazed at the amount of commerce that moves up and down the Columbia River. 2 very busy Class I railroads on either side of the river and I-84 that has lot's of truck traffic.

So the guy who said the switch and the light cover stopped the beeping was right. As far as what is wrong though to cause it, no telling. Replacing the switch may fix it or not. We will have to wonder about that for a while. Hope you can get it fixed.
Actually, you may want to forget "fixing" it!

Exactly. Don't really need a fridge light. If it's too much hassle or time, I probably won't bother. I could see if Dometic will send me a new light and switch and see if that works, but I'm in no hurry to go to an rv repair center.

Lazy afternoon at the campsite. Temps in the 50 range and very light to no rain!
Just went for a nice hike. This gorge is steep!

We use a couple of lights with batteries in our Escape. All of the RV places should have them or can get them.

Unfortunately, Dometic will likely tell you that any warranty work must be done by a qualified technician. After a long argument, they did make an exception for me when I told them it would be to their benefit to let me replace the latch which involved removing two screws that to reimburse one of their so-called service providers over $100 to do so. But I had to say "Really. You don't think I'm capable of using a screwdriver. I'm not talking about replacing a major component here."

With you on this Carl; bigger ain't better- but unfortunately its becoming the new reality. I am surprised(but not really) that Rbryan could not contact Dometic to get a interim fix that Reace ultimately provided. When I contacted Dexter regarding a brake locking problem they were fantastic! Instant access and were not control freaks about how I got the problem resolved.
The M&A (mergers & acquisitions) thing is this: most companies that buy up competitors to gain a competitive advantage end up worse off than before they were before the merger.

Great photos, keep 'em coming!
My wife has family up in Portland area, so we've been up there a lot. Almost always we plan a side trip up the Columbia gorge. It is so beautiful, with the waterfalls and river and dams...all so beautiful. Nice side roads along the way. We particularly like the area just south of Hood River, where the pear orchards are. These photos make me itch to get a trip planned. I even think the overcast and dampness adds to it all, makes the colors stand out more.

'Past Tents' First Journey
By the way, gas in Oregon is much higher than I expected, averaging 60-70 cents more per gallon than back in Texas. Well, at least the mileage is good.

Fuel is going up in Oregon. I paid $2.55 a gallon this morning. I liked it better at $1.85
