Only 315 miles to go and interstate all the way. What a trip. Hope the new rig didn't get sandblasted to bad the other day. Loren

"Bluebonnets, bluebonnets, bluebonnets oh so blue. Your bright eyes are shining through the silvery dew..." I spent years enjoying them as a child, growing up some in Texas. What a welcoming sight for you all after such a tremendous trip!

Thank you again, Robert and Jolonda, for sharing your adventure with all of us. It has been a remarkable journey--from fiberglass shell to an impressive rig that takes you to and through incredible places! We look forward to seeing more of your travels in the future. Happy and safe escaping~Peace.

We are home. It's kind of surreal. The wife is thrilled but I could have stayed out there for another week or two.

The grass is almost a foot tall, and the leaves and the pollen have fallen from the oak trees and covered everything. Those of you who've lived in South Texas will know what I'm talking about. Gonna take a few days or so to dig out, clean, and all the rest. Can't wait for the Bluebonnet Rally on the 22nd. I'll post a map of our entire trip as well as some stats about towing, averages for speed and mpg, etc later. Thanks to all my friends on the forum for your well wishes. This trip was a blast!

Not too bad Loren, but the truck was FILTHY! Had to empty the bed and take a garden hose to it to get rid of all the red dust from Monument Valley. Thanks for your kind words.

So very glad you've had a great "first" trip. It's been grand right. And thanks so much for sharing the pictures and taking us all along on your travels.

Continued safe travels, always.
You were right Donna. You always say "make memories" and although I usually blow that off as a cliche, this trip was full of them. Thanks for reminding me that the journey is the goal, not the destination. Cheers!

You're right Glenn. I caught the bug before I ordered Past Tents. It has now turned into a chronic condition. Can't wait for our next journey.

Hi Robert and Yolanda,
We so enjoyed your trip out and back. Photos were a big plus!
We still have 4 1/2 months to go until we leave for our pick up trip to Chilliwack.
By seeing all that you all have gone through between build sheets and all the discussions with everyone on the forum we certainly feel confident on our decision on our trailer and are looking forward to meeting all that will be at the Bluebonnet rally in a few weeks! Certainly after that some of what we currently have on our build sheet will change some. It's always a big plus to see how others have done things and use them.
