Not quite as much fun as Round Ireland with a Fridge. But close.

I was very disappointed by the vandalism in Philly. Not sure what that person was thinking. Oh yeah...he wasn't thinking :-(

I have a feeling that if it wasn't Philadelphia it would have been some other large U S city. A tip of the hat to our Canadian neighbors who didn't seem compelled to rise to this level of vandalism when HitchBOT was in their neck of the woods.

In my Parks and Recreation career I experienced hundreds of thousands of dollars in vandalism at the hands of kids, teenagers, young adults and yes even middle aged adults who couldn't find a real deer to shoot and took out their frustration by demonstrating their marksmanship on deer crossing signs on remote park roads. Comparing notes at park conferences, park management personnel from cities across America large and small, all had the same stories. It's a pathetic sign of the times and has been for at least the last 45 years when I entered the profession. In the case of vandalism it's not if but when. Sad but true.

So true Dave. Several years in law enforcement showed me the same thing. We libertarians often bemoan the fact that there are so many laws, rules and regulations now. Some of them are ridiculous. BUT, much of the reason they've proliferated is that many people can no longer govern themselves, and the government reacts by legislating.
