Places to stay from Seattle to Boise ID and into CA

Hello everybody,

We will be picking up our 19' trailer the first week of June in Seattle and want to spend a few days in Idaho, go by Boise (have a friend there) and then back to California. We'll have about 9 days for that. Could you recommend some nice places to stay at between Seattle and Boise, and around Boise (may be in McCall ID) and on the way back to CA?

Thank you so much!!!!
Galina

McCall, Idaho

There is a 6 star commercial camp ground there and across the street is a place with good beer and an outstanding group of musicians. I don't have the names now but I do remember the experience.

Our #1 favorite go-to camping spot is Ponderosa State Park in McCall. You should be able to find an available site in June but if it's filled, McCall RV Resort is a great 2nd choice. McCall RV is the place AZ jack is referring to and the Broken Horn Brewing Co. is the nearby watering hole.

There is a small but very nice RV park right on the Salmon River, just outside of White Bird. White Bird is between Lewiston, ID and McCall. It's called Swiftwater RV Park. First week in June could be chilly in McCall with tons of mosquitoes, especially this year. It will be much warmer in White Bird, and no mosquitoes. You can camp by the river under some nice, big willow trees. No brewery within walking distance though, although we have beer at our place

Palouse Falls State Park is on the way if you donít mind a little 2-lane blacktop detour.

Another option, if you just want a spot to park for the night and is free is the Wildhorse Horse Casino on I-84 just east of Pendleton, OR. We find if we are on a long journey, just looking for place to camp for the night, casinos can be a good option, they are rarely if ever full and are generally free. Obviously its not what you would suggest is ideal and certainly not attractive, but, its an option.
