Road Conditions

If anyone should have the misfortune to be driving east or west on Interstate 40 from Flagstaff, Az. to Williams, Az. you may want to stay out of the right lane. This section of the right lane is populated by countless deep potholes that will potentially damage your vehicle(s). ADOT has has erected ROUGH ROAD signs every so often on some of the truly dangerous stretches of roadway. Dan

The cause is the freeze/thaw and the truck traffic on that roadbed. Too cold to do serious repairs so cold patch is being used which breaks down quickly so that the small rocks used in the patch can then break your windshield. The road is a mess. Dan
