Rocky Mt Egg Rally

Just returned from the Rocky Mountain Egg Rendezvous, my second ever fiberglass rally, in the San Juan Mountains just 19 miles north of Durango, CO. Was one of 3 Escape 19’s attending this 4 day FB event. Very nice mix of great folks, sharing stories, bonfires, food, taking notes, the usual good stuff.

Tuesday I unfurled the awning myself for the very first time. Wednesday we soaked in the steamy waters of the nearbyTrimble Hot Springs Spa.

Day 4 we drove north and ended our week of camping with 2 nights in the Gunnison National Forest, at 1 Mile Campground on Taylor River Road, east of Almont. Of course we attended the Arts and Crafts Show in Crested Butte. Like them steaks, Very agreeable.

Myron glad to hear you had a good time at the rally. How many fiberglass campers were there? We could not go this year but maybe next if they repeat in 2016.

I think there were 20-22 trailers, including many Casitas and Scamps, a U-Haul, an Egg Camper, a Lil' Snoozy (very cool). Seems also like everyone brought a dog, or two.

That's great, thanks. Maybe next year. Pretty country as I remember. Dave
