I like the picture of your new relief driver better .... no wonder you are finding the time to camp more often ... while wearing your sexy Filson.

No need; he'll post it again.

(I'm kind of wondering how long ago that was taken, and what he really looks like now. )

Can't tell you Alf, but will be digging into the pocket pretty deep for camping this weekend. Leaving tomorrow for Quetico Prov. Park in your province, boy is camping expensive there now, I haven't booked the site as there are lots available but when I put in on the reservation site it was over $72 non-electrical for two nights, guess that includes the reservation fee which I won't be paying.

Santiago, I did not think that he was saying that. I believe he tried to quote someone. The quote was along the lines of flag-waving or some such being the last refuge of scoundrels, was it not? I know that you are not identifying yourself as a scoundrel because I think you told us that you are not, or words that are similar. So you are not in the group to which he referred and neither is half of the population. Only scoundrels.

And, of course, there would be plenty of scoundrels who have never had it occur to them to wave the flag, much less do it.

But as I am certain you know, flag-waving has come to have a political meaning. Of course, even with that, one has no idea if a person waving the flag is of a particular political persuasion or another, or any. Or a scoundrel. No way to tell unless maybe you know the person.

Hi: emers382... We qualify for the seniors disc., but you're right it's still expensive!!! $37.52(non premium) We get electric sites but no water. Some parks you need 250' of extension cords to reach the currant bush!!! Alf

This is a true story.
Wife and I went in search of a bird bath to replace the leaking concrete one we've had for twenty years.
Ended up at GardenWorks, where we were told the bird baths were strewn around the vast store. Ended up in 'Gifts'.
Wife picks up a sun hat and tries it on, fits, likes it.
Comments, "I want this 'Silly Tilley'.
Indeed it is a Tilley. 'The Tilley Raffia Hat'. "Insured against loss. Made from premium raffia palm. Secret pocket. Removeable sweat band."
So, she got it. And, I'm not going to tell you how much it cost.

Geez, look what I started!

I bought my Tilley in Pensacola. But it's worn out and I'm up this way, so that gives me an excuse to go to Victoria B.C. where I saw a Tilley store on my last visit. I'll try to exchange my hat and also buy a second one.

I did buy electronics in Portland-- I bought a device to connect my MacBook Pro laptop to my ham radio, in order to use what the hams call "digital modes". My ultimate goal is to be able to send email via the radio, which is possible. This has obvious utility to an RV'er, but it will be a while before I figure it out.

And I appreciate Santiago's comments re my character, inaccurate though they may be. No one who knows me in person says that.

Really Glenn! Why do you make her pull it down so far? Looks like you have some unresolved feelings about that hat. [emoji6]

Nah.
I did want to show more of the hat shape, and she always manages to make a face or close her eyes, just as you press the shutter.
