The Natchez Trace is a smooth road

Today I drove from French Camp, Mississippi to the Meriweather Lewis Park in Tennessee on the Natchez Trace, a National Park Service road. Before leaving I inadvertently left a glass half filled with water in my trailer's refrigerator. At my destination I was surprised to find it sitting on the shelf unspilled.

Better stop in somewhere and get a lottery ticket, you're living right today.

Drove the Natchez Trace from Nashville to Tupelo, Miss. 4 years ago on the Southern leg of our Cross-Canada tour with our 17B Escape.

Y'all gotta see the Elvis Presley Birthplace and Museum in Tupelo. Put it on your to-do list today. Check out the blue suede shoe coffee cups.

The Natchez Trace is a beautiful linear parkway with an interesting history that also documents the tobacco farming in the region. Little traffic when we drove it in late October. It was so smooth my fridge door didn't open.

Nah, it was because he's an optimist, the glass was half full, not half empty.

We drove the whole Trace last fall, loved it! Don't miss the Loveless Cafe at the northern terminus!
