Travel After Chilliwack - No. 2
First of all thanks to all who responded to my first question of travel after Chilliwack. There were a lot of very good suggestions and advice. It certainly changed what our plans will be.
After some time on Vancouver or Whidbey Islands we will take a ferry to the Olympic Peninsula. I have always been intrigued by Sequim and its claim to fame as a “dry spot”. Is this a good place to base exploring the area? I can see excursions to the Hoh Rain Forest, Hurricane Ridge, and the Dungeness Spit. Are there other sights? Do you have a favorite camp spot in the area?
It is certain once we explore the Olympic Peninsula we will amble down the coast. Looking at a map it is overwhelming evaluating the parks and recreation areas on the Oregon and Washington coasts. Being foreign to the area it is so hard to know what is good to see and where to stay in early June. I expect we have a week to spend on the coast. Do you have some favorites?
