Am curious about your data plan and coverage. Who is your carrier?
Our plan is Verizon. But they no longer offer unlimited data. We plan to keep it as long as possible!

I use this antenna based of opinions at roadtrucker.com - those guys live in their cabs for days: http://www.amazon.co...e?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It has a built-in ground plane and works absolutely great with my Wilson sleek cradle. My signal increases 20-22 db (or from 1 to 5 bars) in some areas with the combination; not only does it increase internet speed significantly, but without having to re-query the cell tower frequently the battery in the phone itself lasts much longer.

To connect the two requires an adapter : http://www.amazon.co...SXY22C9QHGBXHZK

I leave the "stubby" antenna that comes with the cradle on the truck roof to use the cradle while driving. I mounted the trucker antenna above a storage cabinet so I can access the bottom should I need to replace it in the future.

Handy to use a cigarette lighter that incorporates a USB port to power the wilson cradle, so you can also be charging the cell phone while it's in the cradle.

This is exactly our setup as well. I forgot to specify on build sheet to pull antenna cable to front cabinet. With my booster below the antenna in the overhead cabinet i had no problems with feedback.

Yup, we have our antenna in exactly the same place and I didn't want the cable pulled to the front as it's part of the antenna - so if I have to replace it I don't need to screw with re-routing a new cable. No feedback here, either.

I mounted the cig lighter socket just under the antenna, cradle works fine inside the cabinet so I didn't put any hangers on the outside of the cabinet. Coiled all the excess wiring into a loop and secured it in the forward end by the antenna entry behind the cabinet face in an otherwise unused dead end next to the fridge.

Where is the 12v outlet mounted exactly? Inside the cabinet?

Mine is on front of cabinet aft of frig for future TV. Snaked cable out the edge of cabinet door. Left sleek inside. I may tap in and add socket on inside. I think Charlie already did this.

I'll put a pic up tomorrow - I placed the socket sideways in the cabinet using the face framing so when the plug isn't inserted nothing blocks the cabinet opening.
