WA Hwy 155 (route home from Osoyoos to Denver after Escape Rally)

Good morning,
We're planning our trip home to Denver after the rally and just realized that we need to get started since we will be needing a place to stay on Sunday 5/28 of Memorial Day weekend. The shortest route back has us heading south on WA 97, turning east on WA 155 eventually ending up on Hwy 2 and I90 through Idaho and Montana before ending up on I25 in Wyoming.
Has anyone driven this route, WA State 155 in particular? This will be our maiden voyage, so I want to be sure to not end up on any crazy roads.
Thanks in advance. We look forward to meeting everyone in Osoyoos!
Chuck

I haven't driven WA 155, but on our pickup trip back to Colorado last summer we took WA 20 through the North Cascades to 153, then 17/174 to Hwy 2 and I-90. All of those roads were easy driving, the worst part was actually rush hour traffic between Spokane and Coeur D'Alene on I-90.

There appeared to be very few places to stay (campgrounds or other public land) in the general area between North Cascades and Spokane. The terrain is fairly barren and agricultural. I doubt that driving through the reservation on 155 would be much different.

There is also very little in the way of obvious camping or food on I-90 between CDA and Missoula, other than the odd gas station. We hightailed it to a private campground outside of Missoula, despite wanting to stop to camp and pick up some dinner several hours sooner than that.

This is the way we leave Osoyoos when heading home, I try to make it to Billings KOA (the original first KOA) about 11 hours away by Sunday night. The route is lovely down to US#2 and over to I90. You cross the Grand Coulee Dam on the Columbia River, very pretty area. There are several food stores that way in the little towns before getting on the Interstate if you need the items you could not cross the border with.
We leave around 6 am Sunday to make it to Billings. From there you take I90 to I25 south in Wyoming where we get on I80 but you are then about 2 hours from home or 8 hours the second day. We have never had any issue with KOA being full.

We have found the same to be true: limited camping spots.
Our plan is to take US-97 south to WA-155 south.
Then to US-2 to WA-17 south to US-395 south, to I-84 east.
Seeing that it's a holiday weekend and many camp grounds are "first-come, first-taken", the likely overnight rest stop will be the Wildhorse Casino parking area, Exit 216 off of I-84.
Then, for you, I-84E to I-80, or other routes thru the Rockies.
Mileage:
Ossoyos to Grand Coulee dam (gas)= 102 mi.
Grand Coulee to Hermiston (gas)= 191 mi.
Hermiston to Casino = 28 mi.
So we'll do 320 miles ±.

Keller Ferry campground looks pretty interesting to me. Riverside State Park, outside of Spokane looks interesting as well. I would expect both to be booked up already or in the near future. Campground St Regis in Montana looks like a fine choice too, its a private campground so you might have better luck getting a spot there. We may check out St Regis ourselves on our way out west.

Did a little more research as we will be heading west in May using a similar route.

Nugget RV Park in St Regis, Montana (west of Missoula), looks like a winner. Reviews are mostly excellent, with the typical negative reviews from campers that had issues.
