we took our bed with us

My mother in-law almost made it to her 101 birthday on Dec. 7th so we had to make the trip to Sonora Ca to put her next to her husband of nearly 40 years. It was a trip that we made many times when they lived in the Sonora area.
Having our shell to keep us warm and offered a place for our own happy hour was so much better than having to stay in hotels but we do need to do some cleaning when we reach home, a lot of mud and wet leaves. The fairgrounds was right downtown and a Christmas celebration was going on with horse pulled wagons and people celebrating and it was $30/night with full hook-ups. Our kids were in the historical hotel for $150/room/night. We are now in Palm Springs and enjoying the town and 70* days.

Hi Jack

Condolences to Nancy and to you of course. Glad to see you're enjoying your new 17. Is Dave lined up to downsize eventually as well?

Hope to see you along the way again somewhere. We hope to make it to the southwest sometime but with family now in GA we're heading southeast for the next couple of years at least.

Condolences

Hi Jack and Nancy,
Our sincere sympathy in the passing of Nancy’s mother. My mom was 93 when she passed a few years ago. Her 100th birthday would have been Jan 2, 2019. Glad to hear the 17 continues to perform well for you. Hope Murphy is working into traveling and the harsh conditions of Palm Springs. It’s about 20 degrees F this morning here with a heavy hoar frost. Bet you remember that from your North Dakota days. Of course at 20 degrees in North Dakota the shorts and t-shirts come out.
Iowa Dave, Rita and Jake.
