Nice sunset photos. Winter seems to be the best time of year for Texas sunsets. I guess it's because there's less moisture in the air?

Cedar Breaks

It's an Army Corps of Engineers park on Lake Georgetown, TX.

75F here yesterday, and we were treated to the antics of flocks of Cedar Waxwings, apparently feasting on the juniper berries.

Lovely weekend, but today's to be cloudy and colder, so we'll head home. Things to do...

Cool pics. I looked the place up on google maps: What are all the weird little dead end patches off to the west of the park?

Those little dead end patches are oil wells that seem to be surrounding many of our country's scenic wonders.

Love, love, love your pics! We used to camp at Monahans Sand Hills SP when I was a kid. In a tent! My dad made us "surfboards" out of lumber and Formica. We waxed the Formica with canning paraffin. So many great memories... But the best is probably the time we were there for a lunar eclipse: there was a huge red moon rising above the dunes. Will never forget it!
