Was sunny tonight when returned. Brian, yes, held the iPad the opposite way and it worked. Wonder if others usually hold it that way.

Thank you for fixing those, Donna!!

Online discussions suggest that many people find it more comfortable to hold it the way you were, but Apple designed it to be held your new way. You're not alone.

Personally, I would try holding the iPad the other way up.

Not really an Apple fan, but I think your explanation was more than adequate Brian. Working in IT I have a tendency to talk tech and go way over folks heads. Better to use simple terms in this case instead of discussing how metadata appends to a file.

I would only add, that whether you use an iPad or an iPhone, always take your photos with the home button to your RIGHT. That way, the orientation will be the same on the phone and the site you upload to.

Really nice sunset shot, Bruce. We're looking forward to our Oregon coast trip, planned for this July. Where are you staying in Lincoln City?

Lake Cahuilla

Back from a 3 week 'Cacti and Red Rocks tour...this was our first campsite, in Southern CA - not too many people the beginning of April.

We had driven down from BC last November, left the Escape in storage at friend's, and returned to pick up this month. Drove home via Sedona, Grand Canyon, Bryce, Zion, Lake Mead, Death Valley, and over to Hwy 395 north back to Canada.
Was too fast a trip but beautiful! Looking forward to returning to the Bryce and Zion area again with more time - hopefully better weather too - it was raining so didn't do any hiking. We had snow in Bend last week - time to return home. The 19' was comfy and warm while we waited out the storm.

Bruce,

If you get a chance, visit the Jennifer Sears Glass Art Studio in Lincoln City. Jennifer Sears was instrumental in its founding, but then she unfortunately died at a young age of cancer. I didn't know her but her brother worked for me in Maryland. The studio does glass-blowing demos and will let you make your own glasswork. There is also an interesting art gallery across the street from the studio if I remember correctly.

Hi Anni- nice shot; looks like a good spot to stay other than Joshua Tree & local Glampgrounds when visiting Palm Springs area. Might have to " Bookit Dammo" & go to the Indian Wells Tennis next March.

Thanks Mike.

Doug, the Kiwanda RV in Pacific City is pretty good. Close to pub and beach. Must try the state park in LC sometime too.

Nice! Goose island is one of our favorites because the campsites are so widely spaced and heavily wooded.

I keep hijacking this thread with pictures that aren't out my back window but my hotel room window. Hazards of having to work instead of camp. So, with apologies, today's view overlooking Universal Studios Theme Park in SoCal:
