Looks great, hope the driving in Iceland is going OK for you. We have a car booked for the end of August and we made a reservation for the Blue Lagoon yesterday. Looking forward to Iceland, been a lot of places, some multiple times but Iceland will be a first.

We had a great time. We were there 14 days and drove the Ring Road staying in a different hotel/guesthouse every night. We took a leisurely pace similar to our camping style by leaving late each morning (9:30am) and arriving early (4:00pm) and sightseeing along the way. We also visited the Blue Lagoon on our last day. I’m happy to pass along some tips via PM if you wish.

See the time lapse with the multi-heads at your rig. Have the same Lafuma chairs- love 'em!

yeah, those are great... very light weight and very comfortable lounging chairs.

for the uninitiated, we're talking about this chair,
folding camping chair alu low batyline iso lac | Lafuma Mobilier

they are quite expensive, so if you think beach chairs are a $5 disposable thing you buy at WallyWorld, then don't even look it up.

There are a bunch of styles. A couple I'd never be able to get up from. Which are you recommending?

Ya can't be afraid of climbing ladders with an f/5.... I noticed Kriege is no longer making any scopes with an f/5 mirror except for a 12.5".

I first heard about them from Tom Clark a friend who founded the New Mexico Astronomy Village years ago. They are pricey but I haven't found a better chair for observing the night sky using binoculars, or naked eye.

How were the Mosquitos? Last time I was there they were bad. Not one of my better nights camping . And that’s saying something as it was in about 1974 or75. Never went back.

It has been very dry in MB and far northwestern ON so no problem with mosquitos although with the rain we got last weekend they will be coming no doubt. Thursday night stayed in the bush near our son's cabin he just bought on a lake west of Thunder Bay. He has no driveway, no power, no water, outhouse. The mosquitos were terrible there, Now we're at his house in Tbay but going without Beth tomorrow with daughter, daughter in law and the four kids for a couple of days. Beth is staying here in the trailer and visiting friends. She is not the "roughing it" kind of camper.

We just returned from a 15 day trip with stops at Chicken, Dawson City, Skagway, Whitehorse, and Kluane Lake (Congdon Creek campground) among a few other one night stops.

Aside from one relatively clear day in Dawson City we were in bad smoke the entire trip and passed several active forest fires including being escorted by pilot car through one near Beaver Creek.

Saw a 3 escapes along the way. Two were 21's and a 5.0 TA. Had a brief hello with one of the 21' owners from San Antonio while stopped in Glenallen.

Warmest and smokiest trip I have had in these parts.

I've attached a picture overlooking Dawson City on the least smoky day we had. You can see a fire that had just started in the distance from a lightning strike the previous night.

Great trip aside from the smoke. Learning more about camping with our escape each trip. This trip made me realize I really need a rear storage box and I need to find a way to keep dust from coming up through the rear windows.

As you may know Jim Bennett had one custom made for his 5.0TA.
