Just dreaming of possibilities for this coming Summer.
This does leave out the fires and floods, but is a pretty good representation of our State, if you are interested.

Wow! That was amazing. Everything was in such perfect shape.

Harley, when you start making your plans, let's talk a little about possibilities.

Thanks for the video. Very nice.

And maybe you shot it in the first place.
If so, I apologize for using it without permission.

After watching that video I'm throwing my cameras in the ocean.

That's not my work, but I wish it was.

Don't do it Myron, we still need to hear from you from time to time.

Dave,
Where have you enjoyed skiing in Colorado?
Maureen, my wife, and I both worked at Copper for 12 years. I also worked at Keystone for 3 years.
Many good areas with nice snow.

Thanks so much for sharing this video! I drove through the mountains of Colorado and those of other states to get from Houston to Chilliwack in October 2019 but found that my irrational fear of heights kept me from enjoying much of the trip. I've saved the link for this video, because it's such a treat to be able to enjoy Colorado's stunning beauty while my feet remain solidly at or close to sea level! Even the virtual trip had my heart racing in spots, a treat to experience while feeling entirely safe.

Harley: Mostly Breckenridge and Vail. Have heard good things about Copper and Keystone but haven’t been. Do you have any suggestions for when I plan another trip?

We both like Copper best, it is why we sought out employment there. It has a super variety of types of skiing and the Mountain is naturally divided to keep beginners and high level skiers apart, much safer. We seldom skied Vail due to their higher prices and they cater to the international skier and pretty much shun the locals. Then Vail bought Breck, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin and further distanced the locals.
Since we retired, again, and moved back to the city we ski Loveland now, it is closest, cheapest (season pass if you are 70+ is under $100). And Copper a few times a season.
The whole of Summit County is good, we lived in Silverthorne for 23 years and had Loveland, Keystone, Breck, Arapahoe Basin and Copper Mountain all within a 30 minute drive. Also Vail and Beaver Creek less than a hour away. Can't go too wrong with any of them. They all basically get the same snow storms and similar conditions.

Didn’t get the best vibe from Vail but it’s been 10 years since I’ve been there. Always liked Breck. Had fun at the very top of peak 8 in the high-alpine bowls around 13,000’. Nothing like that on the east coast! That’s for the heads up on the other mountains. Have some family near Monarch Mountain in Salida so have thought about trying to get out there too.

Snow

I was born and raised in Colorado skied most places, even before they became so popular. Then we lived in Utah for 10 years and skiied a lot there and found Utah snow the best. We haven't been skiing for 25 years, since we moved to AZ.

You are not wrong there, that moisture from the Great Salt Lake does make magical snow. And the crowds are always much smaller and very compatible.
Our favorite there is Snow Mountain, larger than Vail and very few people. Spent a week there a couple of years ago and had a super time. That whole Eden Valley is a special place, Summer and Winter.
