Nice location in SC! Waterside campsites are a treat.

Here's the sunset Thursday from my campsite in Ruark West COE CG on Stockton Lake, MO.

This place in SC is 19 miles from my house. It's a hard spot to reserve because it's isolated with a great view. Could only get it for four nights.
San Rafael Swell, Capitol Reef and Zion next month. They're a bit farther.

Back on the road again on a two month trip, mostly in Southern Utah. Enjoying the view in Blanding on our way to Capitol Reef NP.

Suppose to hit Fruita on October 27 for three nights then Watchman for three. Still working on route back to SC.

Y'all have a safe trip

Caught Some Aspen

We stumbled onto 3 nights at the Carbondale KOA that is always full... someone cancelled. The place is VERY well-maintained. The sites lack privacy but ours made up for it by being right on the Crystal River. No complaints of this view through the back window, along with the sound of the stream:

And even luckier, the aspen around Marble still had leaves:

Fall in northern New Mexico

Our final outing of the season to northern New Mexico. The colors hadn't peaked yet but it was still crisp and beautiful. The egg and bacon breakfast sandwiches on everything bagels were pretty darn good too!

Where is your location in these images? We are in the midst of planning our spring trip to the southwest. New Mexico is not on the list yet. Our only camping experience in NM was short lived when we stayed at the Enchanted Trails RV Park in Albuquerque. Not much enchantment in the noise coming from I-40. We left early.

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience there. We avoid RV parks at all costs anymore. Spring can be a cruel joke here in NM. We can get some of our heaviest snow fall in March and April not to mention lots of wind. First, the photos were taken at Clear Creek NFS campground near Cuba, NM. I would not count on this location anytime before mid-May due to snow.

These would be my choices for spring camping in NM. Most have hookups.

Oliver Lee State Park
Percha State Park
City of Rocks State Park
Cochiti Lake ACE
Fenton Lake State Park
Manzano State Park

PM me if you would like more info.

Thanks very much. You provided me with a list I can spend time investigating. I'll be sure to PM you with questions!

To be fair Enchanted Trails RV Park was a waypoint more or less. We were heading to Utah where our first stop eventually was Kodachrome Basin State Park. Eventually we hooked up with David & Mary Murphy at Fruita in Capitol Reef National Park. On our way to Utah, we 'ran into' Homolovi State Park in AZ.
Attached are a few images. Cool place. I wish we could have spent a day exploring the ruins which date back to @1000CE.

Awesome. We'll have to put that on our list as well. Appreciate it.

I forgot to suggest Brantley Lake State Park. The park is okay, but it's proximity to Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe National Park is what makes it attractive.

Not quite an "Out our Back Window" picture, but it can't get better than this: Four Escape trailers enjoying America's western Canyonlands.

Well, it could get better...if there were five Escape trailers and the fifth trailer was me!

Great spot, where is this?

Haven't been able to post much but we are halfway through a two month trip and having a ball in Southern Utah. Off to Arches today for a week in Devils Garden.

Now you sounds like me! I ALWAYS want to know where pictures were taken, if folks are camping. State, Campground and Site NUMBER... if available. Please

There's been a lot of wonderful camping pictures posted for places I've never seen. I'd hate to pass within a few miles of someplace because I didn't know about it and have the necessary information.

All set up for a week in Devils Garden at Arches NP, with a big shout out to Centex for winning the click lottery six months ago to get us this site.
