I've been seeing photos from southern Utah here lately and it's really got my interest. The closest we've come to seeing that kind of terrain, but on a much smaller scale, is the badlands in Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota, which is just a few hours south of us and we've been back a couple times..
Utah may be our spring trip next year.

Shoot, look at all the room! I drove through that CG last March and most of the sites looked about 1/2 that length or less. That is a sweet location!

Late season camping on VI
We did zero camping in the summer. I spent a good part of the late summer, early fall converting our 2005 17B from the stock single group 27 12V to a pair of 240Ah 6V Lead carbon batteries. Installed a BMV-712 and upgraded to a 35A Progressive Dynamics Inteli-power converter/charger. I also spliced in a remote pendant as we keep the rear dinette converted to a bed and it would be nearly impossible to monitor the LED on the 12V board.
We have now been out 2 times for 5 days and 4 nights running the furnace etc, and have not reached a 60% SOC yet. This last trip, I tested our 2200 watt gen for a 2 hour period to simulate a Provincial Park and it brought the batteries back up to a 82% SOC.
Hope to squeeze at least one more trip in before the weather gets into regular freezing.

. . . And, overnight at Cunningham Falls State Park on Rt. 15 in MD.
The site at the Cunningham Falls Manor Campground proved a little challenging, pushing the Escape up over slick leaves. But managed to achieve a level perch, without unhitching. There are better sites there.

Yikes! I gotta "level" with you.
I don't know if it is perspective, photo angle, or whatnot, but the last image suggests you'll not be on the level.
Tipsy, topsy turvy.
Rest well.

Yes, it was the camera that over-dramatized the situation. Here's a shot from the trailer side:

Been camping at City of Rocks NM State Park for several days. Campground has been full daily with a smattering of Olivers, Casitas, a lone Burro, and our Escape representing the fiber glass RV class.

Left the record cold in BC for the warmth of Panama. Going through the canal today, the main reason for this cruise.
Had to miss Q'site but I'll be heading South in Feb.

I did that cruse in August and September. Left San Pedro in L.A. and 19 days later we were in New York. The Panama Canal is one of the wonders of the world.

I haven’t been in our Escape Garage for a couple weeks. The snow was about four feet deep where it blew in against the doors to the building. The Escape is plugged in, has adequate battery water and waits patiently for Spring. Snow has been melting for a few days so early next week I’ll access the building and change out my bucket of damp rid. I use two buckets per winter and have not had any mold problems in ten winters. I buy the Damp Rid at the big box store in our area. It’s usually on sale in the Fall.
