Unless it is below -20C, you don't need them anyway. A light jacket will do.

Peter H., we were checking out the campsites at Bella Pacifica and thinking of going there instead of Deception Pass. Unfortunately the ferry costs for truck and camper were exorbitant so we opted for Whidbey Island. I almost wish we had gone to Tofino. We would likely have bumped into you at McKenzie Beach!

It's OK buddy, no sympathy required. San Francisco next week, Tennessee and Kentucky the week after, then out to Hollywood and San Diego. My cold curse is about to be lifted.

Bobbito, You are so right about ferry fares. That is why we seldom leave the island. Why cant they just charge for two vehicles plus passengers? Phooey. Peter h.

I Guess that's an advantage having a 5.0 or 5.0TA, shorter overall unit than a 19 or 21! We'll probably be over to the island next year or year after but may be leaving the trailer at Escape for some work, so will only have to pay for the truck on the ferry.

Yes, it is. We used it as a garage for the bikes this trip since none of our guests wanted to visit the campground. Silly people.

Rainwater Observatory

This is Rainwater Observatory in French Camp, Mississippi. I was here last weekend for the annual Mid-South Star Gaze. We had a couple of pretty good nights, but the last night was a bust weather-wise. The days were clear enough for solar observing.

The photo is sort of distant but I wanted to get it all in.

North Texas upside down after a storm at campground

Took photos with iPad camera and they always load for posting upside down. How is that fixed? I even rotated them upside down before loading for posting, trying to get them to post right side up since they were not. That didn't work either. I usually post from my camera but can't now.

I fixed it. Donna D. ;-)

When you are taking photos, you're probably holding the iPad upside down compared to what Apple expects you to do. The iPad's software knows which way is up, but instead of fixing the photo it keeps track and makes a note which it attaches to the file. When you "rotate" them on the iPad it changes the note, but doesn't actually change the photo... so the photo is still upside-down; this might be true of some other ways to transfer the photo as well.

When you send the photo by email or some other methods, the iPad's software fixes the photo so it will make sense without the attached "this is how it should be" note. Unfortunately, the app used for EscapeForum isn't bright enough to do this, so it's still upside-down.

I'll leave it to the Apple fans to definitively explain how to make this stuff work, but perhaps using the website on the iPad (instead of the app) would work properly.

Personally, I would try holding the iPad the other way up.

Thanks, Brian. I will try taking photos with the iPad turned around and see what that does. Guess I cannot fix these.

Here is a tutorial. I didn't read it because I don't have that problem.
You will have to click/close a couple attempts to lure you in before you can just read the information.

You retired? As of when? Missed that.

I can delete my last post.
Anybody who can delete the upside downs, please do.

We were on the road, not reading much.

You need another retirement party.
Your retirement will not keep us from knowing how it goes with no wheels.
