Our plan is to stop at KOA in Lynden for two nights. It is close to Sumas and like you, we want to get acclimated to our long-awaited trailer. The day after orientation, we are returning to Canada and benefiting from a driving course at Valley Driving School in Abbotsford.

Returning to Canada after Pickup

I am scheduled to pickup my 21 ft. next spring and plan to do some traveling in Canada after pickup. What paper work, temperary license plate for the trailer etc. do you need for return to Canada. How do you get a temperary license plate and what kind is it.

Thanks for any information you can provide.

We have several nights booked at the Lynden KOA as well and are going to do day trips to Vancouver and Vancouver Island. Wanted to stay close to ETI for a few days just in case.

Love the Haagen's grocery stores when we are on the west side of the state!

The Safeway in Lynden(is it still a Safeway?) has a great deli; suggest the German Potato salad.

Our Vons became a Safeway back in May and it is already going to close in 60 days. Haagen kinda goofed somewhat here(mis-pricing and no name recognition) and people fled. Too bad as they do have some good items. Not often a company goes from 18 stores to 140 in less than a year.

Albertson's I believe bought Safeway in the Spring and they own Haagens as well. They kept some as Safeway, closed some, made some Haagens. Our Safeway was made a Haagens three months ago and is now closing in 30 days. So who knows what it is or will be soon.

Hagen's Ferndale and Stanwood have good parking lots access for those who might be new to towing (via Google sat view - have a look).

The Market at Birch Bay (at I5) isn't too bad either depending on time of day and near by (fast food) restaurant traffic. Personal opinion is to go anywhere else though for better selection.

I stopped at the Lynden Safeway after picking up Ten Forward. Didn't need a thing other than food (menu planned, didn't take any food across the border). Big parking lot, but full... plan ahead when you park. You may want to leave ... It's a very nice Safeway!
