Wild Ride Inside Storm-Tossed Trailer

A Nebraska man took a wild ride inside his fiberglass trailer during a tornado Thursday night. Wow!

After wild tumble in tornado-tossed trailer, camper happy to be alive - Omaha.com

I was amazed that he still towed it away..they said it was a 42 year old trailer....

On a similar note, the nice couple who bought our 2005 Scamp 5er just emailed that last weekend they had it out for the weekend. They were parked near some trees and in the middle of the night there was crashing and shaking of the trailer. Turns out a nearby tree fell and broke over the top of the Scamp. Scared the h@!*l out of them but the only damage was a few scrapes on the Scamp! The tree was about 10-120" in diameter!

Wow! Since we're trailerless right now we are borrowing our kid's 13 ft Scamp to take to the Oregon Fall NOG. Guess we'll be safe and sound in it, although we don't have too many tornadoes here - hmmm wonder if it would float in a tsunami?

Thanks for finding this additional article, Donna!
That little Scamp looks remarkably good for what it went through.
Knowing that the owner is safe and sound after his wild ride tempts me to start making Wizard of Oz jokes, but I'll refrain.

Liz, I shared over at FiberglassRV. Somehow, someway, sometime... his name is kinda ringing a bell. With all the goofy screen names, I can't find him as a member there however... maybe YahooScampers?
