Winter Camping - Washington

We have just returned from three nights camping at Bayview State Park, WA. We made trips to Port Townsend and Whidbey Island. We were in site #2 which had both power and water, and there was a two day break in weather with sun. Pussy willows are out, and there are lots of things to see, and no crowds!

Must have driven right by you on Saturday on my way to Anacortes. The weather was great and it seemed everyone was out just for a drive...including me. I should have driven through the park but what are the odds of seeing an Escape there?

Karen:

There were not many people camping, although by Friday night there were only two spots free in the front loop.

Bayview State Park has easy access to Mount Vernon, Burlington, Anacortes, Whidbey Island, Port Townsend.

It was wonderful that there are a few sites with water even in the winter, which makes camping a bit easier.

That's really nice ... nice photos . But one must say your "winter " looks quite different than ours ( and we are chinooking pretty good ) , it looks like spring - especially the flowering trees with that charming historical house .

I came THIS close to driving through Bayview; although I've driven by many times, I'd never seen it. Wish I had now...I would have loved to have seen "Ladybug."
