Gotta hand it to the Yukon folks. Their campgrounds have to be the most consistently clean, well maintained and inexpensive.

That's one heck of a drive, 4100 to Dawson. About 75 hours drive time, 2-3 weeks for us, 5 days for cpaharley.

thanks for this link Scott and Lori - what a great resource and perfect timing. We leave mid May for the Yukon and Alaska with our 19' Escape.

For those looking to protect parts of your trailer from rock chips... a member on FiberglassRV posted this. I don't know anything about it, but looks like it may work for vulnerable areas on a temporary basis. Very similar to Dip-It

Have a fun trip! Be sure to stop and spend a day or two at the three hot springs. Liard on the ALCAN, Takhini outside of Whitehorse and Chena outside of Fairbanks. Takhini and Chena both have nice restaurants with good food. Nothing like a good soak in the hot springs after a day on the road. Scott

Good idea - for sure we will have to take in the hot springs. We have Laird bookmarked for the homeward bound trip. Looking forward to this trip. Escape is almost ready to roll - going to take out for a night nearby (when rain stops!) to make sure everything is in good order.

Yes a long way! We have a total of 2 months so can take our time. Heading out tomorrow afternoon but only driving 4 hours first day. Watching the road reports and there are washouts, mudslides and snow in every which direction in BC. Yikes! We've picked the lowest elevation for day #1 to avoid snowfall on the passes. Heading toward Smithers, Stewart-Cassiar Hwy to Watson Lake, then on to Whitehorse. Then base camp on our son's property and Venture out from there - no set agenda. We'll head home via Atlin Music Festival, Liard Hot springs, Ft St. John, Jasper and back to the Kootenays.
If we ever hit sun, am looking forward to trying new solar panel.
