10yr+ Escapes for sale

A good friend is looking for a trailer.

Got me thinking, where the heck are the decade old Escapes? Rare as hen's teeth? Under a tarp in Grandpa's barn? Owners aren't parting with ol' faithful?

You can (almost) find a 40 year old Boler any month of the year, but I haven't seen many/any Escapes for sale pre-2007 .... which I understand roughly correlates to when this forum came into existence.

edit: in reading the history of ETI again, I see there were production challenges up to say 2007.

---------------
So I'll turn the question, what is the oldest Escape anyone has seen for sale?

I suspect that old Bolers are more plentiful than old Escapes primarily because there are vastly more old Bolers in existence.

Since moulded fiberglass travel trailers (of any brand) don't degrade while sitting idle at the rate that conventionally constructed trailers do, people may be more inclined to just hold on to them in case they might want to use it again. The better seam construction of an Escape (compared to Trillium, Boler, Scamp, Casita) probably makes this particularly true for Escapes.

Older Escapes do come up now and then, for example...
SOLD - For Sale 2004 17' Escape, Trailer $14,500.00 - SOLD
This would have been about eight years old at the time... and there was no such thing as a 10-year-old Escape then.

There just weren't that many built back then either, Bruce. They have really ramped production up since their latest move.

There would be so few in existence from back then. They might be about it. Real classics. Maybe those owners should have held onto them!

I bought mine used in 2013 and it's a 2005 17B. It's number 39 according to the VIN so there were only 38 before it, so my guess is there aren't more than 40-45 10 year old Escapes out there at all, let alone for sale!

There may be one coming into the market soon - now that I'm spending 1/2 the year in mine, some of the newer features are becoming more compelling!

2005 17b

We bought the #37 trailer built about two years ago here in AZ. Love it so much we ordered the 19 with a Nov delivery. The 19 was the layout we wanted for our full/part-time venture starting 5 years from now.
So if ur looking to buy a 2005 17B we'll probably be selling it in Aug. right before our final build sheet is due.
Can't wait to start the build process and pick up the new 19.

You got to start someplace and ETI is no exception. But, not to worry, when that gleam first appeared in Reace's eye, pretty sure this is NOT the prototype for the very first Escape Fifth Wheel.

The weight from the propane tanks alone would make some folks waaaaay over tongue limit.
