17 A-listers, U-dinette pics?

Looking to take advantage of the $1,000 May Special on a new 17A and am seeking input on U-dinette in 17A. I realize we will be starting with a small space.

We are just 2 adults using trailer for travel/camping outings less than 2 weeks. All cooking and most meals outside.

U-dinette Idea:
*12-inch filler with extra cushion, to be used as lounge when table is out.
*22-inch round table on single-leg Sequoia (low-profile base)
*One stooge table next to sink

Any A-listers have pictures of your U-dinette setup?

Thanks in advance. Love the forum...super helpful.

Has anyone actually put a U into a 17? I’ve been in U’s in 19’s and found them way too tight, and can’t even imagine how cramped it would be in a 17. We lived and traveled in a 17B for a year and it was plenty snug without U’ing it up. Just my two cents.

I have a 17A and I'm VERY happy with it. Chose this design because of the permanent almost a queen size forward bed .... read 'lounging space without having to "make" the bed'. Also a permanent table .... set up all the time.... me thinks a very nice combination. I have never met a 17A with a U shaped dinette and can't offer much advice about that. Personally think the 17A would be too tight but maybe it would be a good idea to get some measurements and mock one up.

My philosophy is "the smaller the space, the more efficient the design must be to achieve success.

Good Luck,

Tom

Thanks Tom. I appreciate your input. We are super excited to have discovered the Escape 17A and think it will be perfect for our Minnesota and occasional western camping adventures.
