If it is to happen for sure, news would come from Escape. I have not seen a layout design but they my be withholding that for a while. It will take some time to get the design, engineering and planning done, let alone deal with building a mould.

Someone had mentioned talk of a walk around queen and a dry bath. This would mean a wider trailer and likely less storage, but only the true plans will tell.

I certainly would not be holding out on it myself.

I emailed Escape asking if they would ever make a dry bath in a 5.0. They said probably not,
A 2020 23 foot dry bath was in the works . Thanks for chiming in. Jeff

The problem with dry baths is the space they use up. Not so critical in a huge RV, but an issue in the smaller trailers.

It will be very interesting to see what they come up with as a layout in the 23, and whether it is well accepted by customers. I hope it is good.

I have no desire for a walk-around queen nor a dry bath. What I want is comfortable seating.

A person can spend a lifetime waiting for the perfect trailer at the very best price point. What you give up is the chance to make memories every chance you get. We only get so many opportunities, don't waste them by waiting and waiting and waiting....

I agree, Donna. I don’t find the dinette seats all that comfortable. Sometimes I think I would like a smaller 2 person dining area with swiveling chairs like some Casita models.

I swapped out the seat cushions in the dinette to one meant for furniture and it makes a huge difference, I found the original too soft. A smaller dinette just wouldn't work for us, as we often have company for supper and games. As well, it makes a great spare bed. We tend to be social campers most of the time.

I am not sure that the 23 ft Escape will be large enough to suit my needs. I am holding out for the 32 ft with separate bedroom and master bath with a jetted tub!

I am with you Donna . The sitting could use some work . We have done our best to improve it . We like the layout of our trailer just like it is . You can always get walk around queen beds and dry baths and then you increase the size of the trailer . Not for us . Pat

I’ll have to disagree due to recent shoulder n elbow injuries, a walk around queen would be nice to have but that said I’ll keep what I have n make if a walk around in not in the production picture either way all Escapes are wonderful.

So true all that.........If your upholstery cover, in your seating area, have enough room it might be worth adding a layer of Dacron ( regular fiberfill tends to matt and compress much more ). It'll make the seats and back much softer, like a sofa. If you don't have an allergy - down/feathers cushion and a slumber roll where the backs meet the seats make those bench-type trailer seats comfier. ( less rigid ) I did add some when I recovered ours, it helps.......

Your location is listed as Chilliwack and it's not a really big place, how far out of town do you live?

Just wondering if you have pics of your dinette cushions, and more info? Did you change them all out? Are they wrapped with fiberfill to make them more comfortable? Better foam? It’s the only thing I want to change in our 21’.

We really liked the look of the Airstream 23' FB on paper and thought we would probably go that route. Until we physically got in one. The bath was nice (although the curved roof really shortened the corner shower) but it came at the expense of the dinette being very tight to the kitchen counter area and the "walk around bed" was really not walk around for anyone over about 4' tall and 8" wide.
