There's plenty of solutions for ladders, frankly I'd prefer scaffolding. But my driveway has a pitch, so I have to use a ladder perpendicular to the trailer. OR buy a ladder where I could adjust one leg for leveling. I too use a motorhome brush for the roof. But at 5'6" (and shrinking), I can't even see what I'm washing on the roof.

I'll wash it one more time in the fall when I winterize. Then going forward I'm going to pay someone to do it, seriously.

I've washed mine maybe 20 times. Even at 6'2" I know one of these times I'm going to end up on the ground. The truck brush only works so well, the tough stuff takes elbow grease from a precarious perch.

One thing I always do when doing handwork on the exterior is to raise the jacks all the way, lowering the trailer. Gets the loft down nice an low(ish).

Jack goes down, trailer goes up Reminder for those doing build sheets to add the power jack option. That is of course standard on the 5.0.

What you are saying does lower the front of the trailer, but the jack is going up.

Sorry for the whining. I love my trailer, truly. BUT wash, waxing and roof maintenance is something all of us need to remember. Those that are in my space need to think about this. I know some are concerned about scrapping the back end when backing into a home driveway. And this is just one more issue...

Hi: Donna D... When I complain how high the roof is... my wife says "Lower the trailer...It's electric isn't it"?

IF you hate ladders, do NOT get a 5.0TA. Laudy, I just spent 5 hours giving Ten Forward a bath. Between dragging the ladder and going up and down, I bet I put in 50 thousand million steps. I'm exhausted. Yes I know even with a 21' a ladder is needed. But boy the top at nearly 10 feet up on a 5.0TA is scary (to ME) on a 6' step ladder. I'm asking Santa for a taller step ladder or save my money and have it painted flat camo. Then I'd never need to wash it again

No matter what anyone says, it's bigger on the outside than it is on the inside!
🤔 flat camo??
👍👍 I like it!

Myself I use a portable scaffold. Paid about $100 for it at Lowe’s. Greatly reduces the up and down.
