Sounds nice. It's there a history of problems with the stock drain, or did you just want something extra nice?

No history that I am aware of, I am sure the stock drain is fine, just wanted something nicer that will go with the faucet.

Here's an inexpensive idea for a deeper sink that is practical as you can manually dump clear rinse water where appropriate to save gray tank space. We have a smaller oval one we use inside of this and its great for boondocking
Edit: fits inside stock ETI sink.

My kitchen sink is outside ( sitting on the bench in this pic ). It's made of stainless steel so I can heat water by placing the sink on a butane stove.

21' sink cover vs custom sink
You will adapt based on what you will eventually purchase.
If we had our druthers, we would have gotten a larger sink in our 21’ TT, but now, we shudder at having to give up valuable inches of counter space to replace the existing sink.
We use the counter extension constantly (coffee maker, toaster, grocery staging area, dirty dish staging area, etc). It temporarily impedes the entry/exit, but does not block it completely. It is mostly used while we are inside anyway. We love it.
For us, sink cover is not used at all.
Regards,
Fred M.

Ross, when there's more than just me, I have four of those elegant bins for use doing dishes outside: dirty dishes, soapy water, rinse water, clean dishes. Great for kids who slop water everywhere when they are "helping".

Then we had to pay duty on it which was paid for by ETI and added to our bill.

Thanks for this info, I got it from Wayfair.ca with the business discount and got it shipped to ETI for a better price than a local couple who shipped it themselves.

I do use the sink cover, and, while I ordered the folding extension table next to the sink, I've only opened it once or twice since picking up the trailer in August. I probably wouldn't order it again, but a larger sink would be nice.
On the other hand, since I rarely cook inside, but do lots of prep, I use the cutting board stove cover all the time.

Fred, I find that an ice cold afternoon beer helps with the shudders.

i think i have the sink you are getting in my 5.0 i really like it i hated the shallow small stock sink on my 17. i also got the fold up counter extension and i am really glad it doesn't completely block the door but like the others It will be used mostly when i am inside. When the weather is nice i too do dishes outside. My step father made me a nice sink cover with a cutting board in it. will will see if its helpful -it looks nice.

I noticed that ETI mounts the table extension with the widest part out. I took mine off and reversed the mount to where it is about 2" narrower, enough to get by to go outside but still useable as a shelf.

What is your sink cover cutting board made of?
I like the idea mentioned earlier of a wire sink cover that can double as a prep area while you cook, and you can run water through it. I can't remember if there's a link to it, but I hope there is.

Nifty!
Was it easy to remove a few of the "slats" so that it would go around a faucet as shown? Or does it come that way?

they slip on/off the ends easily. I'm thinking of shortening the metal stems and mounting within the stock sink cover after cutting out the middle of the cover.
