21' with 19' layout

Has anyone inquired about ordering a 21' with a 19' floor plan? I would like the extra two feet in length and really want the extra four inches of width, but the current 21' layout would not work as well for my family as the 19'.

Greetings and welcome. The 21 with the 19 floor plan does not exist. Every rig has compromises. We love the extra space in the 21 but if our son ever upgrades from their 13ft Scamp (they have a 10 and 11 yo), we would recommend the 19 with the bunk option. The grandkids do camp with us and sleep head to toe in the big rear dinette of the 21 but that's just for a few short trips a year.

Hi,
Yes I actually did inquire about having a 21 foot trailer built with the 19 foot trailer floor plan.I was told you could have a 21ft trailer built with the 19ft trailer lay out but the back bed could only be a double bed and not a Queen size bed because of the trailer frame lay out.

One other thing if you did have the 21 foot trailer made in 19 foot trailer layout it would be custom work and cost more how much more I never got to the conversation.

I got an email back from ETI. Basically, the issue is the bathroom is designed for a particular location on each trailer. They have to work around that. I would be happy sticking with the 19'. The extra 4" in width is what I really wanted. BTW, does anyone know if two average sized adults can pass each other in the aisle on a 19' without knocking doing a dance? A little rubbing is fine. (Kind of nice actually!)

I was just going to say what do you want to take all the fun out of it. Then I read the last part of your post ( kind of nice actually ) My wife a I have no problems with maneuvering around each other in a 19 foot trailer. We are both average size people.

As Mark just said there is plenty of "passing" room in the 19. That was one (of many) selling points for us.

My wife longs for the extra 4" of aisle in the 19 versus the 17. Of course, in the 17, there isn't all that far to go.

With this good attitude, the 19 will be perfect for you, as you will also enjoy the climbing over the other person to get outta be thing too. Neither of these two things are an issue for us at all, and we too love the layout.

The key to this arrangement of climbing over each other is to be the first person in bed and the last one out.

The person who showed us his 19 made a point of demonstrating that it is possible to pass each other fairly easily. And we had no trouble in our 19 last summer. And in the morning we're sometimes both doing some food prep.

For me, it is the complete opposite. Most often I go to bed later, of maybe the same time, and I don't think I have ever been the last one out. Still, the crawl can be fun.

We actually fretted about this issue before we picked up our 19. Turned out to be a complete non-issue. If the wife had to get up in the middle of the night and climb over she had no issues doing so, and I never once was awakened by it. Perhaps she's 'Spiderwoman' and has latent abilities...

We manage just fine in the 19', along with two dogs. Of course, we normally have the awning out and that kind of provides another room for us. Last summer we had four adults and two children in the trailer during a wild rain storm and did okay.
