A thought on number of outlets linked to imverter

I'm working on my build sheet for my 2017 17B and was wrestling with the decision between "inverter with one outlet" and "inverter with all outlets" for $300 more.

I think of myself as a minimalist when it comes to power - no laptop, tablet, or tv or fancy kitchen appliances. However, I've been living in my Aliner for several days out of the week while working, and I'm finding that one outlet isn't working very well for me. I have a clock radio as a second alarm (NOT a morning person!) and with that and my phone plugged in, I can't have a fan or heater or anything else plugged in.

I'm hoping to spend a lot of time in my Escape once I retire, and I've decided it's definitely worth it for me to spend the extra $300. Hey, I'm getting solar and 2 12V batteries - might as well use that power! 😜

Just my 2 cents worth.

On our previous Escape I did one outlet. The first time I had to dig out an extension cord and string it across the trailer I immediately regretted saving that $300. Sometimes its hard to know where to draw the line. We added it the second time around.

If the $300 isn't a show stopper then it's a heck of a lot easier to have ETI set you up with all the outlets now then try and do it later. For the convenience as Brenda mentions, if nothing else.

Running a heater is going to deplete your batteries in no time, think I'd use the propane when not hooked up.
