Losangeles,

My two sons each have very impressive LED light bars for their various off-road vehicles. High light output, low wattage. About 2 inches by whatever length you want. Check some of those, if you want to be able to see what you're backing into. I'd get one if I had a handy external 12v outlet.

For backing up into a campsite, we've used a flashlight in the hand or on the ground.
I do like the idea of a clip-on 12V light that can be plugged in to the 12V exterior
outlet, then clipped to the bumper. May have to assemble one.
For security concerns, I've added a illuminated (when on) rocker switch near the bed,

that turns on the exterior running lights (markers/clearance/tail).
That provides plenty of light to ID who or what is outside.

I know you were asking about a 21 and placement of the light. Here it is on Ten Forward. Would interfere with any custom "naming" decal you may want on the rear, under the window. But, I'll probably never have a custom decal. If I do, it will go on the spare tire cover or maybe near the door.

Thanks Donna

I am now thinking of having 3 lights - all on one switch.

With the rear one up high, but NOT right next to the backup camera.

Just in case of light blasting onto the camera.

Just as a security flood light. :-) just in case of loud bump (s) in the night.
