Anyone up for doing a show?

It's been awhile since we did our last Escape Show.. So if there's a couple people that want to be part of live discussion about Escape Trailers.. let me know. Just need a web camera, internet connect and G+ (free account).

We can handle up to 9 participants live and hopefully include T&R.. We'll record it an put it up on the forum.. we can also take questions from others via chat..

possible subjects to discuss or anything you like to add/change:

1) 19ft vs 5.0
2) 17ft - why you think it's the perfect size
3) Mods you like
4) things you wish you did
5) the possible 21ft configuration
6) build quality and what you like about Escape.

So if you think you may be interested in participating, just reply to this thread and we'll try to work out the details..

7) The benefits gained from reading and posting on this forum.

It would be great to get a perspective from some of the newer members here, the ones who recently picked up their Escape, or are eagerly awaiting its birth.

Re: Anyone up for doing a show?

We picked up our 19' in May 2012 and have used it 34 nights.
We are pleased with everything.
Our options are A/C, Storage Bin, LED lites, propane disconnect and dual 6V batteries.
We have used the A/C once and should have spent the money on solar. We plan to add Solar this winter.
We find the best natural setting camping spots do not have hookups and after 5-6 days the first thing to run out is power.
We have had no troubles that could not be easily and simply fixed.
Having said that we do have some brake pulsing that needs attention. Probably a bad drum.
Our tow vehicle is a Ford Flex without ecoboost.
It handles the trailer well through the mountains.
It does get thirsty when pushed. Worst milage was 16L/100kM Best is 13L/100kM
Normal milage on the highway without trailer is 9-10L/100kM. (It's all wheel drive, those without this feature get better milage)
As to the 21 foot idea..it is not for us. We find the 19' more than adequate.
The 5 is a great trailer but again not for us. It is limited as to what you can tow with and more trailer than what we need.
Oh by the way we find our selves calling the trailer the Escapster. (Like Roadster) Not sure if we are the first.

Re: Anyone up for doing a show?

Jeff I'd be happy to share my perspective on the benefits gained from reading and posting on this forum. However, I'm not yet an Escape owner nor do I have a web cam.

JC -

Thanks for the offer..but the web cam is probably a requirement as we do basically a Video Conference call that's streamed live to the forum..

Maybe I can figure out a way to take callers rather than straight Video as it seems to be harder to enlist people.. anyway let me mull it over and see what I can come up with..
