It's not an either/or choice. You can have no "grease spin art", no ruined brakes, and no burned out bearings, simply with normal maintenance.

We had the drops added, but not for lights. I've already used two of them for various tech gadgets, and it's handy to have a source of 12v power overhead. I don't think I would have added them just for lights, because we haven't found cabinet lighting necessary -- yet. If we ever need it I think a cheap battery operated puck light is an easier solution.

What the makers of these Trailer axles should do is use automotive grade sealed bearings and that would be that!

In the same vein, you could have bought a cheap used Scamp (or whatever), and it would still be useful two years later, instead of spending money on a more expensive Escape. Some of us prefer things done a better way is all.

What is nice about installed 12V LED strip lights is the amount of light they give off, and the fact that it fills the entire length of the upper cabinet with bright light. Plus, having the switch handy is a bonus too.

We tried the push button puck light, and abandoned it, as it did not shine everywhere. After putting in the LED strips, I got the biggest hug and thanks from my wife. That along was worth the effort. Besides, it is not that tough at all.

As you can see by the window, this shot was taken in full daylight, and still lit things up great.

We got the cubbies next to the bathroom and it is one of our favorite options.

Hey, just so long as we are both happy with what we have, all is good.

This is a previous monitor they used, but it does work okay for us, so we are good with it. Not the best battery monitor, but I have a meter that plugs into a DC outlet if I want more accuracy.

We were doing the build sheet on our 2016 model 21' and were told the bike ready feature was standard on the 2016 model, no up charge. I believe a couple other items became standard also. Of course the 2016 had a price increase so it all balances out.

What ETI is apparently telling us is that there is a charge on the 2015's for bike rack ready but that there were people who received that at no charge because theirs happened to come with it without necessarily being ordered. Makes me wonder if some folks above did not order bike rack ready.

The slide situation is indeed what someone had pm'd me, namely, a 21' now comes only side to side. ETI says there is an access problem with the front to back slide so they now will not do it.

Also asked about half cubbies and they will not do that.

Ditto that, yet prefer the shelf above the bed. Curtain is great too; not sure if it comes without cubby option.

That curtain only goes over the cubbies? I thought it was for in front of the door.

I can see why ETI went with all builds being bike ready. Can you imagine having two different frames for each model, just for a bicycle? They're working on the Lean model, standardized work.

You mean like this size (on a 21)?

Nice to stow slippers below and coats above. Have another 21 owner coming to the shop in June to compare dimensions on different 21s to build theirs.

Yes, with a counter top like the other counters. What material is on your top? No problem with putting the weight of coats up there?

I forgot you have tape, not screws. I was wondering about where the studs are up there and whether, with screws, hooks could hold a lot of weight, any heavy coat.

Yep, we were pleasantly surprised to find our 19 was bike rack ready when we picked it up. It was shown as optional on our build sheet, but we didn't order it.

Perhaps now we should take up bike riding.

I love the widget by the door of the 21' Charlie... SCORE! The ETI build is nice too, but having hanging space for coats and those cubies is totally cool.

The curtain goes from the bathroom door in front of the cubbies to the kitchen counter covering the door.

We like the curtain, allows one to keep the door open in the morning while the better half sleeps in.
