Build sheet for the 19--finally!

Hi y'all. Even though we signed the final build sheet over a month ago, I'm just now posting it for perusal. We received so much great info from fellow forum members, friends and the ETI folks, we are ever grateful! I don't know what we'd have done without all the help--many thanks

Standard fabric, counter laminate, and vinyl floors w/ BLACK
counter trim
Horst probes on grey water tank
Additional exterior Electrical access hatch - front D/S
Forest Green Graphics - Remove "19" from front rock guard
"On the Lam" under rear window

Sheee-woooo! All changes were made based on researching this forum and advice from friends who already have an Escape, nothing original here. If anyone reading the build sheet gets even a bit of
inspiration from it, I will be well gratified--as we got TONS of help from others.

We placed counter extensions and outlets in the bed area, based on Ike's CPAP and the fact we weren't sure which way we will need to position our heads. Going for D/S, but if that doesn't work, we have alternatives. Gotta get a good nights sleep. I have already purchased a 4" memory foam mattress topper for the bed and will set that up as the "bed-pad" to be made up with mattress pad and linens/quilt. Have a flannel fitted sheet to cover the stock mattress with, so I only have to make the bed-pad. This worked well in our Casita. Also, we'll use the same piece of Dry-Mesh as before and put it under the stock mattress. Might need a step stool by the time I'm through...

Heard from Tammy and they will start building our trailer this Monday! ETI will store it for us until we can get out there for the pick-up and orientation on May 12. Can't wait
Peace~
Gae

Thanks, Donna! We have plans to try Birch Bay for the few nights, res. weren't open yet. Made res. for Deception Point and then back to Birch Bay to meet our friends, the Eddy's, after they pick their 19 up! Already getting things together for the shake-down! Really looking forward to seeing that part of the country, as well. If we need Tammy or Reace for anything, at least we'll be within shouting distance. Oh, yeah--exciting times!

Thanks, Robert. I just realized one thing I could have changed, but won't dare try at this point. Gotta quit! But, am wondering if anyone has switched the handle of the cabinet under the bench so that the door opens away from the trailer door? Would make for easier shoe storage access. Anyway, this is something that could be altered later, if we want. As I've told Crystal and Tammy, we are getting so much more comfort and convenience then we had before, we are amazed.

While we don't use that under seat storage for shoes ( in our 15 )....that strikes me like an excellent idea -simple and probably not to late too do until the cabinet doors are installed . Waiting till after would leave you with hinge holes to fill .

We don't think the bench door will be a problem. We lived with it opening that way for 6 years in Houdini 1 and it never occurred to us…

Thanks, guys--should have asked you about this! Just reading an email from you, in fact. Just having a space for shoes is HUGE in my book, as you know
