Yes, but do not try and put any weight on it, you will end up with a dent in the middle of your Hoover Dam (that is what they call that lip on the Ram ) been there, done that

The storage box is coated with line-X. It was either $500 to coat the lower front half of the trailer or $700 for the box. Loren

So, in reality the box only costs $200, front end protection is $500....

True, but if it comes down to protecting the shell or the box, I'll take the shell. Besides, it has a rough textured coating that 'sort of' protects it, although it's harder to clean.

Sorry, didn't have any idea our build sheet completion would turn into a storage box thread.

On another note, one question I don't see an immediate answer to is do the propane tanks come with any kind of cover? I see build pics with bare tanks, soft covers, and hard covers. Wasn't any mention I saw on the build sheet about it. What is standard?

We got the hard cover as standard with our 19 Escape we picked up in May, so I believe the hard cover is standard for a trailer with 2 tanks. They put the cover on at the end of the build process which is why you see some photos with bare tanks.

Hard cover, shipped inside, just slip over the tanks.
