Build Sheet Signed

Finally got the build sheet done and signed off today. Thanks to all the posts here that helped us with that process.
We went with custom formica, fabric, and flooring so it was a large number of samples spread out over our dining room table over the last three months.

The other highlights, some of which were added due to the 10% jump in the exchange rate since we ordered in April.

We decided we're not going to pull the sheet out any more and look at it so we don't second guess anything.
Now we wait....

Rethink the storage box. Wet stuff, muddy power cord, the outdoor 6x12 mat, a box of tools, the chocks, water filter, water hose, crank for the stabilizers, and a few other items needed for setup when you get to the site.

I agree, it is worth it.

(The power jack is meh to me, I need the exercise. The cranking is not hard at all and I think I can beat the speed of the power jack.)

Nice build, but as others mention, get the front box, you will use it more than the electric tongue jack....

I'm not one to criticize or question anyone's choice of anything, but after seeing the front box on my trailer I have to agree with the others on reconsidering it. It's one of the best additions you can get! Extremely functional and super well made.

Umm, the OP has been a member since 2013 and has, presumably, read almost every post on this forum, including the pros and cons of the storage box. It seems to me that an informed decision has already been made. BTW, although I have it and love it on my 15, if I were to buy a 19, I wouldn't get it either.

Question. Has anyone ever purchased the box and regretted it? Or is just the folks that have never had one that think it's not needed? As is said, you can't miss what you've never had.

I have no opinion since it's not an option for me.

Lol, well storage box actually was one of the first cuts made, but we appreciate the feedback. We've pulled molded glass trailers for over a decade and have our camping style pretty set. We migrated to a PU truck tow vehicle years ago and always outfit it with a bak-flip cover which is the most elaborate storage setup going. If I pulled with a SUV the storage box would make more sense, but would just be way overkill with our setup.

But you will probably not be able to open your tailgate while hooked up so you will have to reach in over the sides.

If it is similar to the 17B we just sold tailgate opens fine. We downsized recently to a Nissan Frontier so this old fella could reach in from the sides of each section of the bak flip with no effort.

If you are at the Osoyoos rally next year Jim, we should suss out why you and I have different set ups to open tailgate fully. Mine opens fine but just rests on the crank handle.

Alot of that depends on the truck. we can't open the tailgate all the way on our F150 either when we're hooked up. That's part of the reason why the storage box has been so handy. We're just giving opinions here, and in the end, you do what feels right for you.

I ordered the storage box to be a rock protection shield for the front of the trailer. The storage is an added bonus. But it's what works for you. Loren

What do you use to protect the storage box? After all, it's not cheap.
