Laura and Greg
I am planning to use the Springfield Pedestal and have it installed at pickup. The Toto table is 17 1/2" X the width of the opening (about 36"). The pedestal is not removable nor is the table top without removing a few screws. When the table is lowered and the cushion is on it the area is a lounge, when it is raised and the cushion removed it is a small table and it will twirl or slide to one side. My table will be 18 X about 36 inches so when it is lowered the lounge area would be about 36 inches deep. My Airedale Lizzie will love sleeping there she sleeps on the floor in the Casita as the small two person dinette is too narrow for her. One would still need a small filler board to make the full bed. We will have one though we would almost never use it.

Hope this helps clear things up

We use the flip up tables while using the "lounge" set up, sitting the other way with the corners at our backs and the main table is in the tow vehicle.

That is what we plan to do too Jim but having the ability to just raise the small table when we want one is very appealing. Our full sized table will live in the shed until we sell the camper.

Mitzi,
Sounds like real close to what would work size wise for us, but most of the time we want no table and just the movable filler board for the lounge area. The pedestal won't come out so that option won't work for us.

Thinking of looking at Jims folding tables first as that might work well.

When you put the filler board against the back cushion, the front stanchion holder is available. I am going to fashion a small rectangular table that will only need one stanchion and can be set into any position. Then when you have the lounge and just want a small but useful cocktail table that can go any direction it can be put in place simply using one stanchion. Probably will size it so if one wants the full bed then the cocktail table and filler board will do the trick. Then the main table can just be left behind.
I had the same thought. Check Overtons, they have a cool small marine table with a single base that would be poifect. Even has cup holders and is about $60.

Heres one. Called the Toonville table at Overtons. Plastic base, people toss it and pole fits the standard metal table base.

Thanks, Greg.
That looks like it would be about the right size and might work. Probably couldn't make one for much less.
