I didnt see it on the options list but it seems that I read that the window shades could be light or dark? Is that the case? Also, Is light blocker material available?

They're pleated shades not curtains. We had the lighter color on the 17; no one asked but we got the darker tan ones on the 21. You're on your own for black out shades.

When I ordered Ten Forward, there was no option of color for the shades. I like the slighter darker ones over any light color. Camping means dust and the pleated shades should look cleaner for longer in a mid-tone color. I hope...

We had a choice, but we went darker too Donna. The thought being that they might do a slightly better job of blocking more light, and wouldn't show dust/dirt as much.

I wasn't given a choice, so we'll just be happy with whatever Reace likes.

You can specify lighter shades. If you don't, you get the darker "standard" ones - which I preferred anyway.

We weren't aware that we had a choice, but I'm hoping for the darker shade too!

One year later, the "default" shade color in Ten Forward works for me

I am going to request the darker shades on our final build list in hopes they block a tad more light. We had light blocker curtains made for the Casita and it made a huge difference

I asked ETI about light/dark window shade options a week or so ago and was told by Crystal there is only one color. This was for a 21', but guessing this applies to all of their trailers.

No need, thumper. The standard ones are darker. A few folks have talked ETI into using lighter ones over the years. Ours are standard.

We asked for the light blinds since Escape Trailer was still in transition from light to dark at that time (early 2012). Love the light ones, and would have been very disappointed to have darker with our perky interior colors. The light color nearly matches the of vinyl on the insulation package.

There are benefits to both colors. I am glad that I have the light ones, as they go with my "light, bright and airy" preference. I have vacuumed my shades, and they have never looked dusty or dirty. I think the dark ones would be better for keeping out light. Whether or not dust shows would depend on the color of the dust.
