Talking Eastward bound?

If all has gone according to plan, our new 19 should now be on an Eastbound trailer. ETA: Monday or Tuesday...

<just a wee bit excited at this point...>

Hi again Doug

Guess I should switch to your thread - do you know what size trailer is going to Durham? Reason I ask is we currently live close to there - haven't yet moved to MB - and perhaps I'll find out from Tammy just where it is and go and see it.

No, I don't. The owner's name is Jeff. That's all I can tell you. (Well, I could tell you his email address since it came through in the clear in a message from Tammy to the both of us, but you should probably get it from her -- she'll know if Jeff has volunteered to be part of the referral program.)

If you can't get hold of Tammy for some reason I can send Jeff an note asking if he minds if I pass on his email address.

Sorry to be a stick-in-the-mud, but I don't feel his contact info is mine to give away.

No Doug, you're not a stuck in the mud, I wouldn't want my contact info given to others either. I was surprised that Jim (cpaharley) directly gave me a contact of a fellow whose trailer we saw in NC this month.

and... no longer eastward bound... Stuck in Brandon MB, apparently.

Got a call from the truck driver this morning. He's had "one of those" trips. His third break-down required parts, so he's stuck for a couple of days. His best ETA has the trailer arriving in Ottawa on Friday or Saturday now.

Sigh...

FYI....
I cleared that first with the owner before disclosing it to you and it was okay.

Doug - exciting for you that your trailer is on its way to Ottawa. We're in North Bay so it'll likely pass through here. I'll keep my camera handy in case we see it.
Enjoy!

Heh, that'd be cool... Though, kinda cruel (in a teasing sort of way) if you saw it and sent me a picture before I get to see it...

But, I think the driver will be stopping in Durham first, so he'll probably cut off the 17 at Sudbury and head south, before he gets to North Bay. There's a time constraint on the Durham delivery...

OK, the driver has made it to Sault Ste. Marie. He's close enough that if he has any more problems, I can go to him.

Durham tomorrow, Ottawa on Saturday, if all goes well.

Here's hoping...

I admit, I have been thinking of meeting the driver in Sudbury. 10 hours of driving on my part to get the trailer a day early... Yeah, I'm a bit obsessed...

I chuckle at your excited behaviour, but fully understand where it comes from. In no time at all you will be camping in it.....YAY!!!

Next weekend... (Murphy's Point, for those familiar with Ontario Provincial Parks...)

Well, that's not counting sleeping in it on our driveway, hopefully tomorrow night... Gotta make sure I can figure out how to make coffee in the morning before we go out for "real"...

Doug, didn't you hear? There is a fun gathering in Osoyoos next weekend. You ought to come.

Have a good sleep out tomorrow night.

Hi: dbailey... You probably won't see this as you're most likely camped at the end of your drive way. We may be in the Orleans area around the first day of summer. How about a mini escape rally? Love to see your new combo!!! Alf

Sure, sounds like a plan. We have a guest in town that weekend so I can't commit to an overnight in a park, but nothing to stop us from getting together to hoist a beer.
