You get more for your money this way vs leaving it in the bank, smart move.

I just used a wire transfer also from my credit union. Very simple, except the fifty dollar charge! At least I knew it was a secure way to transfer a large amount of money.

If paying many months in advance, you can send a cashier's check or personal check as some have done (but don't know if there is a wait on the rate with a personal one, if that is a concern) with no such fees. You may have some check fee but we did not. Escape has plenty of time to cash a check. If worried about the dollar or in a hurry, FedEx can be used from the U.S. for about $44 and the payment will be there in one business day or two.

Canadian dollar is still sinking - under 69 cents today. I think you have lots of time.

Great idea, think we'll do the same. Don't have my build sheet finalized, think they'll take a partial payment if the total is not known?
I'm working on a big Aussie trip for our 40th, I just paid off a rail excursion and cruise at .69 to their dollar. Sweet. Too bad it didn't work on airfare.

Escape was happy to take a substantial down payment from us a couple months ago and our build sheet is not complete!

Like spokanescape said, when I was doing mine ETI gave me a "for now" build sheet with balance owing, less payment(s).

And I thought 90 cents was a great deal two years ago.

Enjoy it when you can, nothing lasts forever. They were almost equal when I bought my 19. I think the difference was only $300 or so and I thought I hit the jackpot when I Tammy sent me a check.

Yeah, any business will be more than willing to take money!
We're heading up to the factory on Monday so I can go over their display trailer with a fine tooth comb to help me finalize my build sheet. Plus, hand over a personal check that will convert to almost 1/3rd of what we owe on it.

I'd suggest putting as much as you can down as your rate of return is greater in Canada as it presently is versus the US.

If you put as much down as you can now, how will you feel when the $CDN hits 59 cents?
Your guess is as good as mine.

This pricing change is like a shark feeding frenzy, everyone wants their bite and the best piece also....Both of my Escapes were within 95% of the exchange rate, thus it did not bother me.The exchange ratio does not make the product any better it just makes the purchaser feel better about buying it.

Paid ours off today. 71 cents the dollar. Great for us but hope this doesn't put the hurt on ETI.
