We use the pool noodles behind the back cushions in the dinette. It slants the bottom of the cushion out a bit so it feels better...not so rigidly upright. Also help prevent condensations but we've never had a problem with that...maybe 'cause we live in NM and mostly camp in the Southwest!

We use noodles, gives a bit of an angle to the seat backs. Of course we are the same ones that can't come up with a comfortable mattress.

Hey, that's a great idea - didn't know you could do that. Dirk would have loved that idea as he loves a firm bed. I'm going with a Select Comfort/Sleep by Number bed. Yeah, I know a bit will stick out on the corner, but I'm fine with that.
Hopefully you can work around that sticking out bit when you put my drawers in for me.

I've already ordered and received a huge roll of the hypervent mesh that will go under and around the outside edges of both the bed and the dinette. I'm hoping that will do the job quite nicely. But, thanks for your comment, Bob.

We went with a 8" memory foam mattress . It does get hard / stiff in cold weather in fact at 17 below zero it is like a brick. After many years of tent camping and sleeping on the ground
( No air mattress) sleeping on anything softer than a rock is a big improvement.
When deer hunting and fishing we still sleep on a sheet of plywood for a mattress . I have a very low comfort level and I have a hard time sleeping on a soft bed .

Our trailer is a 2008 and I have taken the covers off a couple times to throw in the washing machine.
They are the half vinyl.. No concern at all about the vinyl pulling away from the cloth... Other than the fact I would like a different pattern there is nothing wrong with them!

I'm pretty sure someone else posted it and we adopted their idea. The forum is a treasure trove of ideas!

I think this is what we have. Expensive but worth it. Using it for the fifth year and so glad to have it. It is on top of our Escape 21' mattress which seems too firm, however, that may have been changed. Don't know if they always used the same firmness in their mattresses.
Our 19' had several inches of foam that came with the Escape --- no mattress --- and it seemed more comfortable.
The vinyl side on cushions is good for wet dogs or people from the beach or rain.
