What is wrong with using the shower for a source of water in the bath?

To save time in our casita sometimes I would use the dirty hos thru window plus the shower to refill the black tank - especially when folks behind us at the dump station
However now that our forthcoming escape 21' will have the bathroom window on the passenger side (not drivers side like our casita) then it would be slightly less convenient to get the dirty hose under the escape and then up, and thru the window.
As dump stations are generally drivers side. In my experience.
No big crisis.
The shower works ok. Just not as fast as 2 sources. ;-)

Yes, I assume anyone wanting to use a hose wants to use a blank tank cleaning wand. The "shower" may still be a viable source of water, though...
The shower head is on the end of a hose which screws onto a fitting on the faucet, so one might be able to unscrew the shower hose and screw on an adapter which would fit a common garden hose (perhaps with an anti-backflow valve). Would that provide enough flow?
Another alternative might be to tee a garden hose faucet into the cold water line before the sink... same comment about backflow prevention, and likely better flow rate.

I never use the wand at a sani-dump. I only use it when I have a full service campsite and can take as much time as I need without holding anybody up.

I agree. I had not noticed the comment about using the hose though a window at the sani-dump. This is not something which needs to be done at each dump, so for me it can wait for a more suitable location.

Okay, trailer is at home and I checked. I was wrong! Not the first time, won't be the last. Single pane. Guess it works just fine... I didn't even notice for nearly two years!

Yes, all the older style bath frame windows were non thermal, whereas the newer frameless are thermal. My bath area got too cold so I had to cover the window with insulation as well as the ceiling vent when using in the winter.

Our bath window screen does not open to put a hose through as there are screws that stop it.
