If you have white Formica....

...would you do it again? I am leaning towards white but worried about how it will hold up over time (due to scratches, stains, etc.).

If you have white Formica....

I'd go with what you like. Formica is pretty durable, and regardless of the color, you should use a cutting board anyway when doing anything that could cause scratches.

The other thing is that your trailer countertops don't have to take the beating that your home kitchen ones do. With reasonable care, the countertop should look great for many years.

Hi Linda

We had white countertops at our cottage and they held up great, didn't show scratches and were easy to keep clean. That aside like Robert said go with what you like.

Cheers

Just about all the interior (all the while) in my Boler is white Formica, it is great easy to clean, no stains, no scratches, very durable. Trust me the Boler gets a lot more wear and tear compared to our Escape

And if you do have any trouble with stains, just use Barkeeper's Friend. It's the best for so many cleaning issues.

Thank you, Buttercup has been a 4 year labour of love and obsession. but please let's not hijack this thread away from the original poster.
Come to the Prairie Egg Gathering in July, I will have Buttercup there. Also if plans work out we will also bring it to the 2017 Escape customer appreciation event in Osoyoos

We have white formica in our 21. So far, so good. No problems. We picked white because that is what we like for counter tops. We agonized for a while about what color to get in the trailer. Then we realized that we had been through this before when we remodeled the kitchen in our house. We found the formica shade that matched the corian coutertops we had put in the house years before and still liked. We don't have the house anymore, but, we still have our white coutertops.

Wish we could, but can't. Hopefully Osoyoos next year

We chose white formica for both our 2011 15A and now our new 19 and have been happy with the decisions. Lightens up the inside and holds up fine. We've just spent two months camping our way home from Chilliwack and the formica looks great.

Formica -58

ETI has indicated that custom flooring is possible but it must have the designation "-58" in order to not incur extra charges. I have not been able to find a formica web site that describes products with "-58" in the product number. Can someone provide a link to the web site that ETI uses and guide me to the section with the formica that they install. Thanks, I appreciate the help and wisdom that this forum offers.

When you go to formica.com do you see any product numbers that end in "58"?

Ok, so when I am in the web site, I don't see any heading that mentions "matte finish."
