Back in the 90's I was really into Mountaineering. Spent many nights sleeping in snow caves, bivy bags and tents on the glaciers and back in the mountains. Didn't really care what the temp was, because when the sun went down it was just cold. We still do backcountry ski trips, mostly day trips with the occasional overnighter.
At this stage of life it's kind of nice waking up in a warm trailer, glancing at the outside temperature, wrapping up in the down duvet and going back to sleep. Scott

I am pretty much like you are/were, Scott. We never even looked at the temperature when planning or going, we just did it. Snow caves an quinzees were a so nice though. To be able to have temps in there around freezing while storms raged outside was awful nice. Heck, even the shovel work making them was very warming.
But yeah, I too can easily accept the warmth of my trailer whenever it is available to me.

Good times, getting up around 3:00 am when it was well below zero from a warm bag, melting snow for water. Roping up, getting your next camp set up before the snow bridges over the crevasses became unstable. Melting more snow....I used to love epic "sufferfests". With age comes wisdom...I hope. Scott

Right now my exterior display is 25F and inside it is 45F with the small 400 watt heater on a thermocube (on at 30F and off at 45F) control. So there appears to be a 20 degree differential maintaining right now.

We use a thermocube with a space heater, too.
