per email received from ETI on Jan 04,2017

"It is true that we are eliminating the framed thermal option,
however, this will affect customers who do not have a trailer on order at this time."

Extra Insulation and Thermal Windows (Slider Type) option is available only to those who currently have a trailer on order.

Hi - we've ordered the "Extra Insulation & Thermal Windows (non-thermal opening windows in the bed area)" option for our new 5.0TA - Aug. 2017). We prefer the light and ventilation from a sliding type window and like to "sleep cool" in the bed area. Our last RV (Sprinter motorhome) had frameless windows and we felt pretty claustrophobic. They only "popped out" about 3 inches at the bottom which really wasn't enough. The new frameless windows provided by ETI look like they might provide more ventilation, but we really missed the slider type window we had on a 5th wheel we owned years ago. We're glad ETI offers both style windows so everyone has a choice that best matches their preferences.

Very true.

But the vanity in me loves the cool look of the frameless windows.

Jim

Are your loft windows split into 2 sections like the rear window?

Yes they are, with both sides operating.
