LED lights

If you order the LED lights option are the fixtures different or just the bulbs?

Are the bulbs so expensive, or so numerous, it justifies the cost for that option? Is there something else driving that cost?

There are over 12 lights in the 19', the bulbs run around $20, you can do the math. The leds are really bright also.

If you're going to boondock, they are really worth it. Lights (incandescents)are usually the biggest 12V energy users. You can retrofit. I used Superbrightleds.com

I had 7 in my 19, until I added a double over the dinette. LEDs were not an option when I bought, so I had to buy mine aftermarket. I bought some fantastic ones I would highly recommend for $15 each, plus a bit of shipping. Bought mostly bright white, and a couple of warm white for over the table when socializing.

Oh yeah, I did my porch light too. It is a bayonet mount though, not a wedge connection like those inside the trailer.

Says the guy in sunny California.
Around here, other than the two summer months, the furnace fan is likely the biggest draw, followed closely by the lights.

I'm looking for a dimmable led fixture. It seems like someone posted a picture of a single overhead fixture which is dimmable. No luck using search. Help please.

Thanks

Theatrical supply stores sell coloured gels that can be cut with scissors to fit the inside lens cap of Escape Trailer light fixtures if the LED light are too bright.

Thanks Jim that's the one. Thinking of putting it in the front under cabinet dinette area. We found we use that light a lot along with the 2 in the kitchen.
